North Island Credit Union Executive Honored for Technological Excellence

David D. Delacalzada, senior vice president and chief information officer at North Island Credit Union, was honored among San Diego County's top technology executives of the year. As part of the senior executive team, Delacalzada is responsible for all information technology initiatives. His division provides all operational support to all lines of North Island's business. In addition, he is part of the strategic council that is directly involved in developing and implementing the credit union's annual strategic plan.
The recognition, sponsored by the San Diego Business Journal, cites Delacalzada farsighted implementation of an effective knowledge management infrastructure that has contributed to North Island Credit Union's growth and profitability, contributing to a service quality index of 89 percent in 2007. Moreover, the credit union's worth has grown from $800 million to $1.5 billion during Delacalzadas tenure.
