June 2008

North Island Credit Union received the 2008 Workplace Excellence Award presented by Peter Barron Stark (PBS) and Associates. We achieved the highest employee opinion survey score ever in our history, along with being recognized by PBS as the organization with the highest score of all the companies they have surveyed to date.

December 2007

North Island Credit Union received the Torch Award for Marketplace Ethics from the San Diego Better Business Bureau (BBB). The Island was the only winner in the 250-499 employees category.

November 2007

The Credit Union National Association's Lending Council (CUNA) selected North Island's Business Services Department as the recipient of the 2007 Credit Union Excellence in Lending Award for Business Lending. The award recognizes credit unions for their ability to serve their members while sustaining sound financial performance.

October 2007

North Island Credit Union was one of 14 companies nationwide selected from 84 applicants to earn a site visit by the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award team. The Baldrige Award is the nation's highest Presidential honor for organizational performance excellence.

June 2005

North Island Credit Union was named among the 50 Best Small & Medium Companies to Work for in America by the Society of Human Resource Management/Great Place to Work Institute.

March 2005

The prestigious Governor's Award was bestowed by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger to North Island Credit Union for consistently demonstrating superior performance results and organizational excellence in accordance with the national Malcolm Baldrige criteria.

 

In addition, The Island is a five-time winner of the Eureka Award for Performance Excellence presented by the California Council for Excellence (CCE). We are the only financial institution ever to have won this award.
