Ways to Qualify
There are four ways to qualify for BenefitsPLUS:
- Maintain $5,000 in any combination of Island checking, savings, money market, share certificate, and IRA accounts; and maintain $5,000 in any combination of Island loans and lines of credit (excluding first mortgages).
OR - Carry $15,000 in any combination of Island loans and lines of credit (excluding first mortgages).
OR - Keep $15,000 in combined Island or NIFIS deposit balances (including share certificates) with at least $2,500 in checking, regular share savings, money market or IRA accounts.
OR - Keep $15,000 in Island share certificates or IRA certificates, have an Island checking account, and use Direct Deposit.
