Founded in 1940, North Island Credit Union today is one of the largest financial institutions in San Diego County. We are a locally owned financial cooperative. Our Board of Directors are San Diego County residents, responsible to, and elected by, our members.

Award Winner
The Island is an award-winning institution. We are a 4-time winner of the prestigious Eureka Award for Performance ExcellenceTM (now called the California Award for Performance ExcellenceTM). This honor is awarded by the California Council for Excellence, and is based on the same criteria as the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. We continue to be the only financial institution ever to have won this award.
